PETG+: This filament is manufactured by ABAFLEX in cooperation with a leading European plastics manufacturer and a renowned research institute. The "+" sign indicates that this is modified PETG, which has improved properties compared to regular PETG.

Advantages of ABAFLEX PETG+ material vs. regular PETG:

During printing, the individual layers bond even more perfectly, making the print stronger and more durable.

While maintaining the same printing temperatures for standard PETG and PETG+ material, our filament flows better during printing and bonds the layers better.

Our material can withstand a wider temperature range and can therefore be printed at lower temperatures while also withstanding higher temperatures. (The increased temperature range allows printers to experiment, for example, with excellent product strength or faster printing.)

PETG+ also has improved impact strength and can therefore withstand even greater impact forces without cracking.

This filament is also more suitable for printing industrial parts that are subject to mechanical stress.

Common properties of PETG:

PETG is an easy-to-print material, but compared to PLA, for example, it is more prone to moisture absorption and has a slight tendency to string. It is sometimes advisable to adjust the printer settings. However, before adjusting the parameters, check that the filament is dry. You can influence stringing by adjusting the retraction and temperature settings.

It is a very tough material with good heat resistance.

This filament has universal use and is also suitable for printing mechanical parts.

Its thermal expansion is relatively small, so it does not warp or peel off the printing bed.

When force is applied, it does not crack, but bends.

Thanks to its good layer adhesion and negligible water solubility, it is also suitable for waterproof prints.

PETG can be used both indoors and outdoors.

RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS:

Use a dried string when printing.

Recommended bed temperature: 80±10 °C

Recommended nozzle temperature for normal printing: 245±20°C

Recommended print profiles: Bambulab PETG Basic, Prusament PETG, Generic PETG

We recommend applying 3D varnish or "stick" glue to the print bed.

ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

When not printing, keep the filament dry and out of direct sunlight (e.g., in a box, in a resealable bag with a "dried" moisture absorber).

When handling the spool, secure the loose end of the filament so that it does not unravel on its own. You can insert the loose end anywhere around the circumference of the paper spool into the "wave" in the cardboard side.

When 3D printing with all filaments from all manufacturers, we always recommend using a "filament cleaner = cleaning filter"; this filter removes dust and other possible impurities from the surface of the string. Dust particles and other mechanical impurities can stick to the surface of the unwound string due to electrostatic charge, which can clog the nozzle.
