ASA = Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate – a technical thermoplastic with excellent UV and weather resistance

Suitable for all 3D printers (Original Prusa, Bambulab /except AMS/, Creality, Voron, etc.)

ABAFLEX ASA: This filament is manufactured in cooperation between ABAFLEX and a leading global plastics manufacturer. It is a modified ASA granulate with improved properties compared to standard ASA.

Advantages of ABAFLEX ASA material vs. standard ASA:

This filament offers excellent dimensional accuracy, dimensional stability, and long-term reliability.

Increased resistance to UV radiation and weathering – ideal for outdoor use.

Significantly higher impact strength (approx. 300% of standard ASA) – better resistance to impact and mechanical stress without breaking.

Higher tensile and flexural strength – prints are stable even for functional technical parts.

Optimal stiffness – the material deflects less under load (approx. 105-115% of standard ASA), suitable for precision structural parts.

Above-standard tear resistance (tear elongation approx. 150-250% of standard ASA) – the print can be partially deformed without destruction.

Optimized melt flow index (MFR) – allows for more precise printing of details without stringing.

The combination of the above properties greatly facilitates mechanical processing (e.g., thread cutting, turning, etc.).

Reduced odor during printing – a more pleasant printing process even in less ventilated areas.

RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS:

Use a dry filament when printing.

To minimize deformation, print in an enclosed space

Recommended bed temperature: 100 ± 10 °C

Recommended nozzle temperature for normal printing: 265 ± 15 °C

Recommended print profiles: Bambulab ASA, Prusament ASA, Generic ASA

We recommend applying 3D varnish or "stick" glue to the printing bed.

ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

When not printing, keep the filament dry and out of direct sunlight (e.g., in a box, in a resealable bag with a "dried" moisture absorber).

When handling the spool, secure the loose end of the string so that it does not unravel on its own. You can insert the loose end anywhere around the circumference of the paper spool into the "wave" in the cardboard side.

When 3D printing with all filaments from all manufacturers, we always recommend using a "filament cleaner = cleaning filter"; this filter removes dust and other possible impurities from the surface of the string. Dust particles and other mechanical impurities can stick to the surface of the unwound string due to electrostatic charge, which can clog the nozzle.
